Best vanilla wafers ever! We stopped on our drive through Texas after seeing a billboard on the highway. The bakery is right on the main town square. In addition to the vanilla wafers, I also tried a Taxes-shaped sugar cookie that ended up not being nearly as amazing as the vanilla wafers.
By far the best bakery I have ever been to! I think it's safe to say we have tried everything they make and we have never been disappointed! The employees are always so kind and helpful, as are the owners. I cannot give these guys enough stars. If you are ever in Slaton, the Slaton Bakery is a stop you have to make!! The pumpkin muffins in the fall are the best muffins I've ever had! Don't forget the thumbprints and chocolate donuts... I promise they are the better than anywhere else!!

I love this bakery! I make a special trip to Slaton anytime I'm visiting Lubbock from Dallas. Their iced cookies and thumbprints are my favorites. They also have great sandwiches.
